Very great customer service and pretty straight forward, what seemed like the end of the world and such a huge procedure to wrap my head around, smart start put it into easy steps and guided me through the whole process making it more manageable thank you. I would like to advise that if you get dental treatment do not drive yourself, it's near impossible to start the car with a numb mouth. When I called the call center there solution was to get someone else to blow into the machine (I was 20min drive from home and after the carry on with the interlock I had 2 minutes until my kids needed picking up from school) I followed there advise and had police show up at my door that night questioning the fact I had someone else blow into my machine whilst I drived. Just be careful when getting dental work 😂😂

I called earlier and believe I spoke to a customer service rep called Owen. I was wondering what the difference between smart start and Draeger were. Owen answered my questions explained the entire process to me including the use of my community services card, licensing and told me there was an installer in Papakura and was nothing short of amazing to deal with. He explained there is no shut down period over the Christmas break which was a big plus to me as at least he could point towards one difference. Shortly after I called Draeger to ask the same set of questions and was told "were not smart start so you'd have to call them" rather than explaining any type of difference in the company. She simply could have explained that they are cheaper but didn't bother to think that much. The customer service is day and night between the two companies and I am so glad I called smart start first and started the process with you before calling Draeger. Thanks for making a bad situation a little bit easier! I HIGHLY recommend going with smart start if you end up in the position of needing an interlock installed!

Customer service team was great and helpful

From the beginning of the process through to the end it was such a helpful and friendly experience. To deal with a company through an 0800 number multiple times and deal with two different staff members, it was fantastic. I think some big corporates with an 0800 number could learn a lot from you guys.

I did not like having the interlock at all! I however appreciate learning this hard lesson and it worked because I never ever want to get behind the wheel with alcohol in my system ever again. The team are very helpful and informative.

If there was ever a problem they were almost always available to call throughout the day and if they weren’t they call back as soon as they can (not very common these days).

I think the Smart start interlock is a great idea to stop drink drivers.

They helped me over the Christmas period when I would have been locked out. Was very kind of them.

Smart start were great! Always available to help with any issues or queries.

My experience with Smart start interlocks was daunting at first, but it became a reality of commitment and change in my behavior towards drink driving. It helped me with my daily tasks as the interlock being the priority, I was able to drive. As days and weeks went on, blowing into the interlock device became a habit as it became my normal routine to start my day. The staff are amazing and each time I spoke with Smart Start over the phone our conversations were clear and precise where I could understand that helped me out when I had questions about the interlock. The process was a challenge but succeeded in having no violations for the 12 month period due to shear determination and commitment. It was a smooth transition from the beginning to the end when I exited. I recommend the interlock for those who struggled with alcohol addiction or even those who just want to put one in because they don't trust themselves, to give it a go and trust the process of change. I give 5 stars for there service that they provide and 100% belief that this program works if we work at it. It has truly changed my life and my way of thinking when driving on the roads. It has taught me how to be open, honest and transparent.

Smart starts work. Teaches you how long it take for your body to get rid of alcohol. They company were really good at organising any problems.

Perfect very helpful, easy communication and willing to help. Nothing was a problem. Even a late payment was always a solution to get vehicle back on the road.

The Smart Start interlock system was a great learning curve for a silly and thoughtless mistake, challenging to begin with but with a service helpline available made the process achievable after a couple of calls and emails. I’ve definitely come out of the program with a much different approach to the mistake I made and can confidently say it will never happen again.

Was easy as. Took a bit to get use to the hum blow but after that it's a breeze. monthly service takes no time at all, have a coffee and it's done. Got my license back now. And couldn't have kept my job without smart start

Do not drink and drive folks! It's not a cheap penalty, it will cost you, the friendly team at smart start interlocks do the best they can and are there to support you if you need help with anything alcahol intake related. Whenever I had a question or query, Smart Start were able to give me the answer or referred me onto NZTA. They also explained what they had control over and what NZTA controlled.

I found Smart Start very helpful with all the questions that I had they always called back if my call was not answered
